With the rise of the internet we are seeing more and more content which would traditionally have been available via television being made a staple of online services. You can get almost every program broadcast in the last seven days via services like 4OD and BBC iPlayer, which means many people are turning to their computers when they want to watch a TV show. 1. The Internet was first created in the 1960s by the US military, although it was an evolution over a period of years.
